Frank Mba & Six Other CPs Get New Appointments.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the posting of seven Commissioners of Police to various Commands and Formations across the country. The posting is predicated on the recent completion of the Senior Executive Course 44 at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) wherein senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force featured prominently.

The newly posted Commissioners of Police include CP Sadiq Abubakar, mni to CP FCT Abuja; CP Frank Emeka Mba, mni to CP Border Patrol Force, Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Arungwa N. Udo, mni to CP DFA Force Intelligence Bureau, Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Bardaru B. Lawal, mni to CP General Investigations, Force Criminal Investigations Department Annex, Kaduna; CP Suleiman A. Yusuf, mni to CP Admin, Research and Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Ebong E. Ebong, mni to CP Admin DFA, Force Headquarters, Abuja; and CP Babaji Sunday to Commandant, Police College Maiduguri.

CP Sadiq Abubakar, the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1992, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. He was the Commissioner of Police Peacekeeping Operations and Coordinator Police Special Forces before his nomination for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute between February and December 2022. 

CP Frank Mba, the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Border Patrol Force, Force Headquarters, Abuja, hails from Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State. A Masters’ Degree holder in Law, he enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1992. He was the Force Public Relations Officer before his nomination for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute between February and December 2022.

The Inspector-General of Police has charged the newly posted officers to hit the ground running in the areas of crime-fighting, public cooperation, and safety.

A statement by the Force Spokesperson,CSP Muyiwa Adejobi said that the IGP  also called for support and cooperation from members of the public to the new Police helmsmen to enable them perform optimally on their mandate.
