Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has voluntarily turned himself in to the Police ,and is now being detained over alleged assault on a police officer.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed this said the singer is currently in their custody and investigation has commenced into the matter.
The singer who was alleged to have gone into hiding when officers of the command attempted to arrest him, turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters, Ikeja, Monday morning in company of his lawyer and family representative and was subsequently arrested.
The Inspector-General of Police,Alkali Baba had at the weekend ordered the immediate arrest of Seun Kuti who was seen in a viral video assaulting a Police Officer.
