Elon Musk’s ambition to launch the largest rocket ever built into a space has experienced a disastrous outing, crashing into the Gulf of Mexico on its first flight test on Thursday.

Starship, the 400- foot rocket built by his company SpaceX was on experimental plans to take passengers to the moon and Mars.
But the attempted launch exploded just before the rocket could make it into space in what was described as “a rapid unscheduled disassembly”.
Images showed multiple engines were not working on the 33-engine rocket as it climbed from the launch pad, reaching as high as 39kilometer before it tumbled and then exploded four minutes into the flight.Thankfully no human caduality as no one was on board.

This comes after the initial date of the launch (Monday April 17) was postponed due to a pressurization problem.
The company had earlier said any takeoff from the launch pad will be considered as huge success.
