The Minister of interior Rauf Aregbesola has described as “fake news” the story making the rounds about the retirement of the acting Comptroller-general (CG) of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Isah Jere Idris.
Responding to questions from State House Correspondents on Wednesday after the weekly meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation, Aregbesola said: ” The person that asked me this question did not even introduce himself, but whatever he said was Greek to me”

There were media reports on Wednesday that the Federal government had directed the Acting Comptroller-General (CG) of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Isah Jere Idris to proceed on retirement with immediate effect.

The said fake report added that Jere has accordingly been directed to hand over the duties and responsibilities of his office to the most senior officer in the Service, pending the appointment of a substantive CG of Immigration.
