Suspected terrorists have reportedly blocked the road leading to farms at Wanzamai village along Gusau – Funtua highway and abducted 83 persons in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
This is coming on the heels of the Kidnapping of a former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Prof Onje Gye-wado.
Locals in Zamfara said the suspected terrorists invaded the village with sophisticated weapons shooting sporadically and abducting 83 persons.
Those abducted are mostly females which are between the ages of 13 and 25.
Eye witnessed said the terrorists had earlier engaged in a gun battle with the troops deployed to the Wanzamai village to protect the residents,which left some of the terrorists with injuries few days ago.
Consequently, the terrorists mobilized their partners from the Munhaye, Magazu, and another terrorist enclave on a revenge mission in the troubled village where they succeeded in abducting 83 persons.
