The Defence Headquarters has reacted to video clips of some United Nations Peacekeeping fighting vehicles and equipment sighted recently in Benin, Edo state.
A statement by the Acting Director Defence Information Brigadier General Tukur Gusau says the Operational vehicles were on Transit to the Warri port for movement to peace keeping mission area in Southern Sudan alongside the Nation’s troops who were inducted into UNISFA mission last month.
The Defence Headquarters assured Nigerians that the nation was not under any threat that would warrant the deployment of United Nations troops in our soil.
