President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn-in former Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase as chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC).
Arase takes over from Musliu Smith who was also a former Inspector-General of Police.
Former IGP Musiliu Smith, resigned in September, 2022 afterwhich a member of the Commission Justice Clara Ogunbiyi (rtd) resumed as PSC chairman in acting capacity since September 15, 2022.
The President performed the swearing-in ceremony of Arase shortly before this week’s meeting of the Federal Executive Council of the Federation (FEC) at the council chambers of the Presidential Villa Abuja.
