The Suspension saga of the embattled National Chairman of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party,PDP,Iyorcha Ayu gets deepened as a High Court in Benue State restrains him from parading himself as the Chairman of PDP.
This came just as Ayu responded to the suspension by his ward excutive committee, Igyorov in Benue State, saying only the National Executive Committee, NEC has the power.
Ayu, in a statement by his Special Adviser on media and communications, Simon Imobo-Tswam said
Some members of the exco are being teleguided by political gamblers not by the PDP constitution of article 57(7) as amended in 2017 which expressly prohibits any organ of the party or executive committee of the party at the ward or state level from taking disciplinary measure’s against any member of the NEC.
The National Chairman noted that signatures on the document by the Edward executives were forged or obtained under duress as his deputy, legal adviser amd 14th person on the list did not sign.
