The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has directed its members Nationwide to embark on sit-at-home, and to picket all offices of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN over persistent scarcity of cash from next Wednesday.
The directive Follows the expiration of a 7-day protest/strike notice issued last week to the Federal Government over cash crunch, and fuel scarcity.


During a Briefing at the end of its central working committee meeting in Abuja, NLC Presifent Joe Ajaero said the sit-at-home and picketing which will begin from Wednesday, next week will be total and indefinite until the twin issues are addressed.
The NLC President said workers and their families have remained under perpetual purnishment for inability to access their hard earned funds from commercial Banks. Ajaero said the case has been made worsen by the unending scarcity of premium motor spirit.
