Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,Prof Mahmood Yakubu has been meeting with the Nation’s Security Chiefs towards a violence- free election on Saturday,March 18,2023.
At a meeting which also have the National Security Adviser to the President in attendance,retired General Babagana Moguno,the INEC Chairman said the meeting became necessary to guide against the repeat of some ugly events that occurred during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno urged the Security Chiefs to be vigilant ,and ensure tight security.
