Abia State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democractic Party (PDP), Prof Eleazar Uchenna Ikonne is died.
In a statement signed by his son, Dr Chikezie Uche-Ikonne this Wednesday, on behalf of the family,Prof Ikonned was said to have died at the National Hospital, Abuja at about 4 am after a brief illness.
Following this sad development the PDP is likely to hold fresh primaries in the state to determine the next flagbear for the party in Abia State.
