Indications are rife that more heads are bound to roll over incessant building collapse in Lagos State. This is coming as the state Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr Idris Salako was forced to throw in the trowel!
Reliable sources at the Government Secretariat Alausa,Ikeja confirmed that some top officials in charge of building approvals, and Urban Renewal Office found to have compromised standards, culminating in several collapsed buildings thereby causing embarrassment and condemnation for Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu have been marked for compulsory “pen down” (retirement) and sack.

The commissioner, Salako was said to have been under serious tension as he sets unprecedented record in terms of building collapse in the state. The latest being the Sunday September 7-Storey building collapse at Oba Oniru street Victoria Island.

The State Governor,Babajide Sanwo- Olu has already accepted Salako’s resignation.
