Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike has said he did not drag PDP’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar to court. He said the news making the rounds was the handiwork of Atiku’s team, calculated to ” cause problem for Wike”. This is just as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has pledged to ” stand with Governor Wike “.

Governor Wike spoke on Friday, August 13, 2022 in Port- Harcourt at the commissioning of the official residential quarters for the state’s lawmakers where Gbajabiamila was the Special Guest of Honour.
The Governor said if he had wanted to go to court over the Presidential Primaries he would have done so two weeks after the election in line with the provisions of the electoral laws.

He enjoined the PDP Presidential candidate,Atiku Abubakar to put his house in order so as not to loose in the forthcoming election. He said propaganda would further polarised the party and jeopardize PDP’s chances at the polls. You will recall that the media had been awash with the news that Governor Wike had dragged Atiku and Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwa to court over the conduct of the PDP Presidential Primaries.
