The Nigeria Police says it’s poised to name and shame the bad eggs that are bringing reproach to the Force. Acting Force Spokesman, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi said through the upgraded ” Rescue me App” of the Police, many deviant officers would be exposed.
He said the IGP, Usman Alkali Baba is pleading with members of the public to download the ” Rescue me App” and use it to report crimes by Policemen. This can be done from the comfort of their homes and anywhere using telephone gadgets. He said the welfare of Policemen are being reviewed continuously in such a way to encourage and promote total commitment to their duties.
” Every Policeman under this dispensation ought to be an ambassador of the Police. We will not tolerate any compromise. With the help of Nigerians we would name and Shane the bad eggs” Adejobi vowed.
On the strike threat, the Police Spokesman said, the Force was yet to receive such a notice from any Policeman. He however hinted that some personnel behind the rumours have been identified and would face appropriate administrative sanctions.
He said the new uniforms, kits and operational vehicles currently being distributed to Policemen and Formations are meant to improve welfare and boost police operations nationwide.
