Three popular artistes,Fakz,Mr. Marcaroni and Seun Kuti have rejected Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Peace Walk. Governor Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday announced the idea of a Peace Walk with prominent Youth Artists and Opinion Leaders .
Governor Sanwo-Olu made the announcement at a media briefing on the release of the White Paper on the Report of the Justice Doris Okuwobi led Panel of Judicial Inquiry on the Lekki Endsars Shootings .
The Governor invited popular Youth Artistes,Comedians,Activists and Security Operatives including the State Police Commissioner,Hakeem Odumosu. He said the planned Peace talk was to promote peace and unity.
Three of the invited artistes,Seun Kuti, Falz- Folarin Falana and Mr.Marcaroni- Debo Adebayo responded immediately ,with a “no way” answer. They condemned the idea of a Peace Walk in the absence of justice for those who lost their lives in the Lekki shootings.
Seun the son of the late Afro Beat King,Fela Anikulapo- Kuti said it was unfair for Governor Sanwo- Olu to call out the youth for another walk, when they were indeed molested and some killed in the course of a peaceful rally at Lekki Toll Fate last year on October 20.
Falz and Mr. Marcaroni were also unequivocal in their turn down of Governor Sanwo- Olu’s invitation. They vowed never to be involved in a Peace Walk that do not promote justice.
Meanwhile, Governor Sanwo-olu revealed that his government will adopt some of the 32 recommendations of the panel as reviewed by the White Paper Committee. He promised to assist with the recommendation on reforms and better welfare for the Police, while he outrightly rejected the report that 9 persons were killed in the Lekki Toll Gate Endsars incident. The Governor said the recommendations which are outside his jurisdiction would be referred to the Federal Government.
With this scenario, its obvious that the end has not been heard of the October 20,2020 Shootings of the Protesters at #Ensars rally at Lekki Toll Gate.

it is high time the Nigerian leaders know that the south western youths are well educated enough to know their right from the wrong. If they want people they can control like cows, they should know where to go.
