Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Titilayo Oriyomi-Oluwasanmi has bagged a Security Nigeria Award. Titi, fondly described as “the face of traffic policing in Lagos”, has received over 30 awards both internationally and locally. .
She received the Security Award alongside other senior police officers of Lagos State Police Command who were recommended for outstanding performances by the Lagos State Police boss, CP Hakeem Odumosu.

Titi, as she is fondly called by his bosses and friends, is not an ordinary police woman. A consummate wife, hands-on mother and the Officer in charge of Lagos State Traffic department, Titi is charged with the duty of clearing Lagos roads of traffic, which is a Herculean task.
Since assumption of office as state traffic officer, she has faced the task of decongesting Lagos squarely,from ensuring her officers understand that their primary assignment is to decongest traffic, to making sure they dress smartly in their uniforms and are more cordial in their dealings with motorists, and most importantly, to always be at their duty posts.

The over 30 international and local awards bagged by Titi are testimonies of her commitments and passion to the police job . Some of the awards include ; Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria Award (Distinguished Award in Crime Fighting) 2015, West African Regional Partnership for Peace & Security Award (Merit Award as DPO Ilasamaja, African Voice of Peace Initiative Award (Managerial Merit Award of Excellence) 2016, Transparency Nigeria Award (Most Transparent Police Officer of the Year) 2017, she was also in Dubai where she bagged Security Watch Africa Awards on Most Innovative Urban Traffic Management Officer. She was born in Lagos in the early 70s , enlisted into the Nigeria Police as a cadet ASP in 2002. She was trained at Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.
