Matilda, who is currently the Secretary to the Lagos Police Commissioner declared that, her profession, the Police job is the best job in the World.
Speaking on the delicate job of policing Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa, Matilda said “my job is passion and compassion combined, i derives joy in sacrificing for my country and humanity”

Matilda is widely described as a quintessential cop with captivating mien. She was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on April 19, 2010. She has served in various capacities in Lagos State Police Command. Before her appointment as secretary to the CP, she had served as the Deputy PPRO Lagos State Police Command, she was the Crime Officer, Dolphin Estate Division, Ikoyi, General Investigation /Fingerprint Expert at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCIID Panti, the Officer-in-Charge, Public Complainants Bureau, (PCB), after which she was deployed to African Union Mission in Somalia.
